Copyright Claims
Copyright claims are NOT the same as a strike. They are typically sent out by Screenwave Media and not manually by Kyle Allen. These are very common for music creators and sends a percentage of the videos profits to the creator for using their music in your video. These are harmless and do not affect your channel. If you believe you were falsely copyright claimed, please send an email to copyright@screenwavemedia.com with your appeal.
Copyright Strikes
Copyright strikes are violations of terms of use with content on the channel. They are typically sent out by Screenwave Media and not manually by Kyle Allen. You are at risk of getting these if you re-upload an exclusive video for the channel, misuse the channels content for nefarious purposes or leak our work before it is seen to the public. If you believe you were falsely copyright striked, please send an email to copyright@screenwavemedia.com with your appeal.
Covers/Remixes
Covers and remixes are typically okay to post. However, you will be copyright claimed unless there was an agreement with Screenwave Media authorized by Kyle Allen. Distributing your cover to streaming distribution services is okay so long as you pay the cover fee according to your distributor. Posting your remixes to streaming services must be discussed with Kyle Allen beforehand. In most cases a 50/50 split is settled as this is common courtesy among music creators in the indie music industry. Please ensure your remixes contain no elements from the original song unless authorized by Kyle.
Soundcloud
Re-uploading Kyle Allen Music to Soundcloud is forbidden and you will receive a takedown within 24 hours of being noticed. There are no exceptions.
Animations
Kyle Allen encourages animators to use his songs and create amazing content with it. If you did not reach out to Kyle Allen before starting your animation, you will receive a copyright claim as authorization is required for monetization. If you do not intent to monetize then you can proceed.
